Introducing the NeverKnock desktop wallpaper collection

Personalizing our living and work environment gives us sensory pleasure and a feeling of control. Whether it’s cave drawings, tapestries or the decorative paper popular in Renaissance Europe that today we call wallpaper, our natural inclination is to decorate our surroundings.

We also like to bedeck our tech.

The computer wallpaper pattern originated in 1975 at Xerox PARC, the inventors of the personal computer. Since then, our screens have become virtual vitrines for pictures of family, pets, cars, art, scenery, celebrities and whatever else crosses our desktops.

NeverKnock now adds to your screen choices with its own desktop wallpaper—the best backgrounds on which to make meaning. To help us start our collection (which includes both standard desktop and iPhone versions), we asked these leading designers to give us their visual interpretation of NeverKnock:

• Stefan G. Bucher | 344 Design
• Ron Fleming | YYES
• Brian Keenan | Openfield Creative
• Deanna Kuhlmann | Kuhlmann Leavitt

Our thanks to each one of them for their time, enthusiasm and wonderful contributions.

We hope you enjoy these screen backgrounds and that you’ll share them with your friends and colleagues. Please check back regularly for new designs—we’re looking forward to adding to our collection.
