A different drum | The 3-day weekend
Philosophers like to think in threes.
Plato had his three parts of the soul—the appetitive, the spirited, and the rational; Kant had his three critiques—pure reason, practical reason, and judgment; and Hegel had his triad—thesis, antithesis, and synthesis. When it comes to considering the weekend, it doesn’t take an Übermensch to sense what’s true: the ideal weekend is also a trio—Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
How was your weekend? Let us know in the comments.
